Nose to the Grindstone

I’ve reached the end of my NaNoWriMo discovery draft. Now it’s time to WRITE THE ENDING.

If you’ve been following along, you may have noticed that I missed my March 1st deadline to hand over the manuscript to the beta readers. And if I don’t get my act together, I’m going to miss more self-inflicted deadlines… so, it’s time to put my writing hat on. My nose to the grindstone. To just write. All of those things.

I’ve got another 10,000 or so words to write. In NaNoWriMo terms, that would take less than ten days. But… I am wrestling with the bad writing that downloads like that inevitably produce.

However, it might just be that by now I know my characters better, and where the plot needs to go, and it might move faster and with a degree of sophistication that is desperately needed. Riiiiiight?

And so, let the writing begin. And let it be at least decent.
